Overview

Sausalito, the brand, draws inspiration from its namesake, the Northern California town of Sausalito. The founder, Scott, is a serial entrepreneur who is deeply passionate about Sausalito and all it represents: a unique hub of creativity and expression. His vision was to create a spirit that captured the essence of the town while also having the ability to travel. Lacking experience in the spirits industry, Scott’s initial step in bringing his vision to life was to consult with the Thoroughbred team.

Starting with the Go/No-Go process involving financial modeling, Thoroughbred assisted Scott in identifying the aspects of his vision that made the most financial sense to pursue, resulting in the development of multiple brands. The design team helped Scott bring these brands to life in a way that reflects the cultural fabric of the town and highlights what makes it special through two unique representations. The outcome is a growing Sausalito Liquor Co., with spirits expanding throughout California and honoring the town along the way.
